Welcome to Foundation 1 & 2

At Adelaide Primary School we aim to provide a secure and stimulating environment where our children are nurtured into becoming happy, confident members of our school. We offer an exciting curriculum which enables children to make progress by developing a range of knowledge and skills.

Children have lots of opportunities to facilitate their own learning through carefully resourced provision and skilled adults, who support children through high quality interactions and effective questioning. Children are given lots of opportunities to put into practise the skills they have learnt and extend their own learning. Our play based learning environment supports the children’s interests and through a carefully planned creative curriculum, (split into half termly topics) we aim to support the children’s development and inspire a love of learning.

We value the importance of the outdoor environment and regularly use the school forest, in order to enable children to develop their thinking, problem solving and collaborative working skills.

Each year group has a curriculum map detailing content and coverage across all subject areas. Parents can refer to our curriculum maps to keep up to date with what children are learning each term.
